Purpose

To educate specialists with logical thinking, creative, critical, multicultural, and innovative, who are able to assess technologies, manage projects, and propose innovative solutions. They will be capable of incorporating sustainability criteria to problems related to the petroleum industry, contributing to the technological, economic, environmental, and social development demanded by the country.

Incoming Student Qualities

Applicants who aim to enter to the Specialty in Sustainability of Petroleum Processing must be graduates of an engineering or bachelor degree in natural and exact sciences, with basic knowledge of chemistry and management of information and communication technologies. Furthermore, they must possess skills to express themselves in written and oral form, as well as reading in English.

Graduating Student Qualities

  • Graduates of the Specialty in Sustainability of Petroleum Processing program will:
  • Master the relationship among the stages of exploration, production, and transformation processes of petroleum with the most appropriate technologies to establish sustainable processes.
  • Know the different instrumental techniques for analyzing the chemical compounds involved in the petroleum industry.
  • Use assessment and project management methodologies for appropriate decision-making in the energy sector.
