PROGRAM OF STUDY

Purpose
The purpose of the Master of Industrial Engineering is educating highly qualified leaders with ethics, strong social commitment, and full competence to handle world-class methodologies and tools for the constant analysis, design, and improvement of the production systems in all organizations, manufacturing industries, and services, achieving sustainable competitive advantages in accordance with the principles of sustainability.
Approach
The major in Total Productivity comprises the handling of world-class methodologies and tools, as well as the design, measurement, improvement, and optimization of production systems within organizations of technology, human capital, and other resources, such as machines and tools.

Skills
Graduating students are highly capable of synthesizing, creating, entrepreneuring, being tenacious leaders, possessing critical thinking, and performing in multidisciplinary teams for building personal and work relationships through daily cooperation with other individuals and groups. They should be willing to develop innovation in presenting a wide range of alternative solutions to industrial engineering problems. Furthermore, graduate must be proficient in optimal information management using current applied engineering technologies, besides having determination to transform business models into globalization.

The Master of Industrial Engineering educates professionals who can solve industry problems concerning technology, processes, and goods and services by means of the design, measurement, and analysis of production systems for prompting organizations into world-class levels. They are skilled at using tools to minimize the variability of processes, products, and services, being competitive in the global market. Graduates will be able to develop in the public/private industry and as an entrepreneur or consultant.

Specific Requirements
Applicants must register and take the admission tests: the General Knowledge Test and the English Proficiency Test (EXCI, Spanish acronym) of the competition for admission to graduate studies, as established by the University Senate. Foreign applicants must also take and pass the UANL Spanish test. Applicants must pay the enrollment fees set by UANL and the School of Chemistry, as well as complying with the entrance provisions of the UANL General Regulations of Graduate Studies and the School of Chemistry Internal Regulations. For any special case, the Master Degree Committee will determine whether applicants are admitted or rejected.
