Dean’s message
Welcome to the website of the School of Chemistry, one of the founder schools of Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon. Our undergraduate degree programs include: Pharmaceutical Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering with Minor in Management, which are nationally accredited by certified organizations of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation in Mexico (COPAES). And the new undergraduate, Bachelor in Environmental Engineering that was added to our program on August, 2017. In addition, the program in Industrial Chemistry is worldwide accredited by the UK Royal Society of Chemistry. These certifications guarantee the quality and relevance of our programs.
Our graduate programs in science are recognized by the National Quality Graduate Program (PNPC); therefore, we offer scholarships from the National Council on Science and Technology (CONACYT) for full-time students in the following areas: Pharmacy, Environmental Analytical Chemistry, Sustainable Processes, Material Chemistry, and Applied Microbiology. Our research infrastructure includes modern and suitable laboratories for innovative projects on knowledge generation and application.
The master’s degrees in Industrial Engineering and Management have local and regional prestige. These graduate programs are widely accepted and are especially directed towards professionals in the industry.
The School of Chemistry has achieved ISO 9001:2008 Certification as a higher educational institution, where students accomplish professional development through the respective knowledge areas of our undergraduate and graduate programs. Furthermore, the high academic abilities of our teaching staff provide our programs with social significance, enabling research results to be published in international high-impact indexed journals.
The School of Chemistry offers a wide range of high quality continuing education, technological, and analytical services at its modern laboratories, where tests are performed under the ISO/IEC17025:2005 NMX-ES-17025-IMNC-2006 Standard.
The growth and development of our academic programs and laboratory services in the School of Chemistry, has allow us to accomplish our goals. Which represent the basis to project and achieve the UANL 2020 Vision.
